What is a flake ice machine?
Thin, dry flake ice that cools products fast
A flake ice machine scrapes water frozen on the surface of a rotating stainless-steel evaporator to make thin, dry ice flakes 1.5 - 2.2 mm thick. The ice temperature is about -5 °C.
Flake ice wraps around the product, and its large contact surface cools it quickly. It is also used instead of water when kneading dough and mixing concrete.
With six models from FL3 to FL100 we make from 300 kg to 10 tons of flake ice a day. The number in the model name is the daily capacity in hundreds of kilograms (for example FL10 = 1000 kg/day). The small models are air-cooled; the large ones come with an air- or water-cooled option.

How does a flake ice machine work?
Water freezes on the surface of a rotating stainless-steel evaporator. The thin frozen layer is scraped off and drops as flakes. On the large models the ice is collected in an external storage bin.

The ice is 1.5 - 2.2 mm thick and about -5 °C. Being thin and dry, it wraps around the product and cools it quickly.
